Parent Update

November 20, 2020

Good Friday Evening,

I am following up regarding our two positive COVID-19 student cases that I reported to you last evening. Through contact tracing, it was determined that there are 40 students and 7 staff members that need to quarantine due to close contact. All families have been notified as of 4:30 this afternoon. If you did not receive a phone call, your child is not considered a close contact based on interviews, seating charts, and video footage.

Please remember, if your child is feeling sick or exhibiting ANY COVID symptoms, please do NOT send them to school.

Please note that if you or your child are currently quarantined, you must complete it in its entirety, even if your test is negative. This is because the maximum amount of time from being exposed to the virus that causes COVID-19 and testing positive is 14 days. Therefore, even if your child tests negative today, they would need to quarantine until they reach the 14th day following exposure.

If you do travel for the holidays, please alert us so that we can determine if you need to quarantine.

I hope that your family has a restful and safe holiday break.

If you have any questions, please contact us.

Be safe and have a good weekend.
