Good Morning,

I hope you had an enjoyable holiday weekend.

As we enter our fourth week or remote learning, please continue to encourage your child to be engaged with their assignments. I anticipate it will become increasingly more difficult to stay engaged but please keep them focused.

GHS is now closed until further notice and no one is allowed in the building.

Please call 524-7146 with any questions you may have. All messages are checked and are routed to the appropriate person.

Principal

IMPORTANT!!!
Gilford School District will be utilizing an online platform to provide continuing classroom instruction to students. In order to ensure that every child in the class receives the instruction, some online instruction may be video and audio recorded so that it can be accessed at a later time.

The primary focus of the video and audio recording will be on the instruction and the teacher, not on the students in the class. However, questions and comments asked and spoken by students may be part of the recording. Only students assigned to that specific class, the teacher, and school administrators will have access to the recordings. Otherwise, the recordings will not be made public by the online vendor or the school in any capacity.

The form provided, below, will be used to document your permission for these activities.

AP News
If you are taking an AP class, please read below.

  • Exams will be given from May 11–22.
  • Students will take exams at home or in school, if they reopen.
  • Each subject's exam will be taken on the same day at the same time, worldwide.
  • Students should test on the main testing dates as the May exam weeks were designed to have no exam conflicts.
  • Most exams will have one or two free-response questions, and each question will be timed separately.
  • Students will be able to take exams on any device they have access to — computer, tablet, or smartphone. They'll be able to type and upload responses or write responses by hand and submit a photo via their cell phone.

  • For most subjects, the exams will be 45 minutes long, plus an additional 5 minutes for uploading.
  • Students will need to access the online testing system 30 minutes early to get set up.
