  • 5/18/18 Notification from: Gilford High SchoolGood Morning, You’re getting this early because of Prom. I’ll have my dancing shoes on so will not be able to write this later. We will see several hundred of you supporting our high school students tonightat 6:00pm for the Prom march in the gymnasium. Then the students will leave for Pheasant Ridge from 7:00-10:00 for some food, dancing, and fun activities. Please speak with your child before they leave for Prom and know where they are going.   • 5/11/18 Good Evening, Yesterday morning, we had Kathi Sullivan speak with our students about making positive decisions and it was a very impactful story. She shared the loss of her daughter, Taylor, at an underage drinking party. It was moving for our staff members to see how our students listened to her speak. Please make sure you know where your child is before and after Prom and please have a conversation with him/her about doing the right thing. Thank you PTA for getting Kathi here. Speaking of PTA, congratulations to Sharyn Sasserson for being named Lakes Region Champion for Children. She has supported students throughout the district in her many roles and we are so happy to see her receive ...

  • 5/4/18 Good Evening, Our seniors are five hours north in Maine whitewater rafting for their senior class trip. I have always enjoyed this trip because the students are in the middle of the woods with no cell phones that work and they’re forced to communicate face to face.   • 4/20/18 Good Evening,Congratulations to Neil Miller who received the Dean’s List award at the recent New England District Robotics championships at FIRST Robotics. He was selected from over 418 entries and will represent the New England District at the FIRST Robotics championships next week in Detroit.Prom ticket sales will run from April 30 – May 4. Tickets are $65. The GHS Prom is a Pheasant Ridge Country Club on May 18th. The Prom March will be held in the GHS gymnasium at6:00pm. Prom is from 7:00-9:30.
