  • 1/12/18 Good Morning,This week our students and staff settled back into school with no interruptions. Next week, students have no school Monday due to MLK Jr. Day and Friday there is a teacher workshop so no school.Congratulations to the following students for winning the PTA Reflections Program.   • 1/5/18 Good Evening, This was an interesting week for our students to try and get settled in. Starting school on Tuesday, having Thursday off, and a two hour delay today, we never gained traction. Hopefully next week we’ll get back into the swing of things. Congratulations to Scott Hutchison and the Lit Mag. They earned First Place with Special Merit from the American Scholastic Press Association. Please see Scott for a copy of our students' work.   • 12/22/17 Good Evening,Our students got through the week and were actually, quite focused today. I was impressed! It’s a short parent update.Parents of Seniors- It's beginning to look at lot like Scholarship season. There are a few opportunities that have arrived including the Faith, Hope, & Love Scholarship, as well as the Skrungloo Farm, Inc., and don't forget the Boston Red Sox Service Scholarship that is due on January 15!   • 12/15/17 Good Evening,The end of the year is rapidly approaching with only five school days remaining for our students.Every ten years, accredited high schools are visited by a committee of peers, comprised of professional educators who have volunteered to serve on the visiting team, visits an institution to evaluate its adherence to stated standards. This process includes reviewing the findings of the self-study and identifying areas of strength and making recommendations that will lead to better adherence to standards and to school improvement. This is the process that has granted GHS their accreditation through the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). We will be visited by this committee in the spring of 2020.   • 12/8/17 Good Evening, Our students were in a great mood today. Maybe it’s because they’re excited about the impending snow.
