  • 11/3/17 Good Evening,It’s been a brief but taxing week for our students and staff members. Many of us were thrown a curveball this week with no power, water, or other basic needs. Our students were supported this week with extension of assignments, food, water, and sometimes just a place to talk. It appears that many are getting back to “normalcy”. I hope your family dealt with this situation well and are past it.November 10th, our students open the musical “Oliver!” at 7:00pm in the auditorium.   • 10/28/17 Good Afternoon,It's been quite a busy week at GHS. We had a very successful Freshmen Community Service day on Monday. Also this week, was our Red Ribbon Week overseen by a number of our students to promote healthy choices and staying away from substance abuse. Members from the Interact Club harvested carrots. Our School Counseling Department hosted a financial aid night Wednesday and we also had a college fair yesterday. Our PE classes ended the week with a beautiful day for the hike up Mt. Major. Here are the happenings today and this weekend. Today, our unified soccer team plays at 3:00 while our varsity boy's soccer team plays at 3:00 as well. Both of ...

  • 10/20/17 Good Evening,A short week ahead for some of our students attending Freshmen Community Service Day on Monday where they will understand and hopefully begin to value the sense of giving back to their community followed by our Physical Education classes hiking Mt. Major on Tuesday.Our freshmen class had a worthwhile experience in Boston this week where they attended the Museum of Fine Arts.   • 10/13/17 Good Evening,It’s been a quick but productive week for our students. We have a busy couple weeks coming up for our students. The freshmen will begin accumulating their community service hours (24 before they graduate) on October 23rd. Here’s a rundown. In an effort to help the incoming Freshmen Class better understand the high school's philosophy regarding community service the following events have been scheduled: Monday 10/16  7:45- Kick off assembly for all Freshmen in the auditorium "Why Community Service" (PowerPoint presented by Eagle Ambassadors) Monday 10/16  During English classes: All Freshmen complete Google Community Service Day Sign Up form.
