  • 5/19/17 Good Evening-You’re getting this early because tomorrow is action packed with students in classes until 11:45, staff members are involved with staff development after that, and we cap the night off with the Prom march beginning promptly at 5:30 at the GHS gymnasium before leaving the Weirs docks at 7:00 for Prom. This goes until 10:00. As I’ve asked in my recent parent updates, please speak with your child about what they’re doing and where they’ll be if they’re going out after Prom.   • 5/12/17 Good Evening-This update is coming to you a day earlier because we have a lot happening. Tonight, we will have our Monster Band concert for grades K-12 with Gilmanton attending as well. I hope you’re able to join us. Immediately following that, most of the high school students will go home and complete their packing as they’re leaving for Orlando, Florida Friday morning at 2:30 for three days so they can compete.   • 5/6/17 Good Evening-What fantastic stories our students shared when they returned from Quebec and Montreal. Thanks to Ms. Jagusch, Mrs. Dubois, and Mr. Defregger for leading them.We have 70 seniors white water rafting for their senior class trip today, Saturday, and Sunday. Mr. Goggin, Mrs. Bishop, Mrs. Brooks, Mr. Javalgi, Mr. Whipple, Ms. Ledwith, and Ms. Jenkins have been looking forward to the trip.   • 4/28/17 Good Evening-We wish our French travelers well as they explore Montreal and Quebec over the next few days.To support our Wellness Wednesdays, we had Kevin Hines speak to our students on Tuesday about suicide and how to assist others if they show warning signs. A simple smile is all someone may need each day. It was an outstanding presentation and both students and faculty loved his message. One powerful moment during the presentation was when Kevin asked all GHS staff members to stand up. He mentioned how every single one of these individuals standing wants to see you every day. It seems that Mother Nature is cooperating with our vacation. Abigail Neilson, Victoria Brasil, and Emily Hayden were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society at the HUOT last night.
