  • 3/24/17 Notification from: Gilford High SchoolGood Evening-Trimester 2 has officially been completed. The light at the end of the tunnel will start to shine brighter as soon as the snow begins to melt.Please support a few of the below listed events that our students are involved with. Tonight and tomorrow evening, beginning at7:00pm, our Performing Arts Department will perform “Little Shop of Horrors”. Here’s a sneak peek.  Mr. GHS has been rescheduled to Thursday, March 30th at 6:30pm in the auditorium.   • 3/17/17 Good Evening- Our School Counseling Department has created a summer educational opportunity section on their webpage.   • 3/10/17 Good Evening-It’s been a smooth transition back to school for our students after the break. With that being said, our trimester is coming to an end in two weeks. I spoke with our students on the tv announcements Monday about finishing strong. Please help us out and make sure that our students and your children are advocates for their learning. If they are struggling, please have him/her reach out.The Gilford Rotary held their annual 4 Way speech contest Tuesday. Six high school students gave passionate speeches on a topic of their choosing.   • 2/24/17 Good Evening-This has been an action packed week with students participating in winter carnival activities. Everything went well after a mid-week pep talk to the study body. Sometimes competition takes over and we need to remind our students that these are activities to help bring life to the school, bring classes together, and get through winter.Three of our students were inducted into the Tri-M Music Honor Society. As our choir director shared that night, “We also inducted three M’s: Melissa Moynihan, Meredith Ellis, and Michael Wernig”.   • 2/17/17 Good Evening-Tonight kicks off winter carnival with a dance from 7:00-10:00. Students can get quite competitive next week with class spirit. Any reminder to your child to have fun and be a good role model will be helpful and appreciated.With our fifth snow day, we have pushed back final exams and trimester two back a week.
