Good Evening-

We sent our seniors off in style last Saturday at Graduation in a beautiful event. Today, the rest of the students have all started their summer break. I hope they all have a restful, safe, and fun summer.

In the coming weeks, I will send out a link for our current 9th grade students (10th grade next year) because they will have summer reading. Our incoming freshmen also have summer reading. This has already been shared with students; however, I hear that sometimes not all information makes it home. J In two more years, everyone will have summer reading. Also coming soon will be the fall athletic start up schedule coming from our Director of Athletics, Rick Acquilano. Stay tuned…

Kristen Nevious, from Franklin Pierce University, runs a FREE week at FPU each summer called “The Presidency & The Press”. This is a free week at FPU for NH high school students, grade 9 through 12, with an interest in politics or journalism. The class runs the week of July 15 and holds about 40 students. They currently have about 15 openings remaining and are hopeful to have students come from each county in the state. Please contact our Guidance Department if interested.

I’ve said it before; Gilford is a special place because of our community. Thank you for your support of our schools and I wish you a great summer. For all the fathers out there, I hope you enjoy your weekend.
