Notification from: Gilford High School

Good Morning,

You’re getting this early because of Prom. I’ll have my dancing shoes on so will not be able to write this later. We will see several hundred of you supporting our high school students tonightat 6:00pm for the Prom march in the gymnasium. Then the students will leave for Pheasant Ridge from 7:00-10:00 for some food, dancing, and fun activities. Please speak with your child before they leave for Prom and know where they are going. We want all of our students to be safe this evening.

Well over a hundred of our students interacted with visiting writer, Ian McColluch, yesterday in the library. Thanks to Mr. Hutchison for staying in touch with Ian and bringing him back to his home. Hopefully, students heard that hard work pays off and anyone can make it to the big show even if you're from a small town. Thanks for sharing Ian with us Hutch!

Congratulations to Kendra Tibbals for being runner-up forNew Hampshire’s First District Congressional Art competition. Kendra was recognized by Congresswoman Carol Shea-Porter last week in an awards ceremony.

Nice job to our singers last evening. They sang alongside the elementary and middle school at the chorale concert. Well done Mrs. Sanborn!

Speaking of Performing Arts, the band and choir both took home first place finishes at Music in the Parks last week. Kudos!

I have attached the National Honor Society Run to Remember 5K that wil occur on May 28,2018 at the Gilford Youth Center at 9:00am.

The 2nd grade is having a yard sale on Saturday, May 19th at GES from 8-11am. The yard sale will be held rain or shine! If it rains, we will be located in the GES cafeteria. The proceeds will benefit Got Lunch. We are selling different household items, toys, bikes, games, kitchenware, sporting goods, etc. Please come support the 2nd grade learners in this endeavor.

Have a great weekend.
