Good Evening,

We kicked off the start of our scheduling process for the 18/19 school year. This is an exciting time for our students because they have the opportunity to look to the future and match their interests to their courses they will enroll in. Today, our departments went on tv and highlighted how their classes are applicable to certain jobs and real-world application.

During our scheduling process, Dan Caron, our Technical Education teacher has scheduled 18 professionals to speak with GHS students during the last two weeks of February. These individuals will speak about their careers and explain how they use language, science, math, technology, etc. every day as part of their jobs. Essentially, the speakers will help explain, "Why do I have to learn this?” This is one of the components our teachers have been focusing on with their transfer goals in writing curriculum. I have attached the speakers in case your child is interested in hearing one of them.

Congratulations to our 18 talented artists who had their work accepted by the New Hampshire Scholastic Art Awards. Olivia Morea, Abigail Warren, and Taeylor Plante earned Gold Keys and move onto the national level. Click here to see a slideshow of the work and winners.

SENIORS AND PARENT OF SENIORS! Please keep checking our website for scholarship information. We are into scholarship season full force and receive information almost daily about opportunities. Some of the most recent postings include the NEACRAO George Coleman Scholarship, the Ed Wentzell Child Nutrition Scholarship, and the Fisher Cats Scholarship.

Enjoy your weekend and Go Patriots!
