Good Evening,

A short week ahead for some of our students attending Freshmen Community Service Day on Monday where they will understand and hopefully begin to value the sense of giving back to their community followed by our Physical Education classes hiking Mt. Major on Tuesday.

Our freshmen class had a worthwhile experience in Boston this week where they attended the Museum of Fine Arts. We continue to emphasize real-world application with our students and I thank our staff members that brought their Social Studies classes to life.

October 23-27 is Red Ribbon Week in support of living a drug free life.  To show support, students are welcome to wear a hat on Monday (put a cap on drugs), plaid on Tuesday (cross out drugs), tie dye on Wednesday say bye with tye dye), dress like a favorite TV character on Thursday (say yes to healthy choices), and wear red on Friday (red out).

On Wednesday, October 25th at 6:30 pm, there will be a representative from New Hampshire Higher Education presenting information on the Financial Aid process. This is being held in Lecture Hall A and parents of seniors are invited to attend.

On Thursday, October 26th, from 9:00-10:00, Gilford High School is hosting its final college fair this school year. There are over 40 colleges, universities, and armed forces participating in this fair. All seniors and juniors will attend.

I am enclosing the School Board Budget work sessions for 2017. On Monday, October 23rd, the high school budget will be presented at 5:30 in the SAU.

Enjoy the warm air this weekend.
