Students should not be carrying any medication other than an Epi-Pen or an inhaler for asthma. If your child needs medication during the day, a parent will need to bring it to school and the appropriate paperwork will need to be filled out. See page 34 of the GHS Handbook for details.

All medication at home, especially narcotics, should be in a secure place in the home.  Access to your home medicine cabinet should be restricted to adults only to prevent the use/abuse of its contents.  If you have old, expired or unused medications, they should be removed from your home.
Do NOT flush medications as they can contaminate the water supply. You may contact your local police department to arrange with them the disposal of medications.
