Deadline:April 1, 2017. Award: $1000. Given in memory of Amy Annis, who lost her life to a four-year battle with breast cancer. Amy Annis was a tenacious athlete, creative student and a loyal friend. She participated on four sports teams during her time at Gilford High School. She was a member of the varsity softball and basketball teams, a member of Gilford’s first two volleyball state championship teams, and a member of the first girls’ club soccer team. After high school graduation, Amy attended UNH for two years before transferring to Suffolk University where she completed her undergraduate degree. Amy began her career in law working as paralegal for Howard Kahalas while pursuing her dream of becoming an attorney. In 2010, Amy graduated from the Massachusetts School of Law.
