Deadline: received via mail by May 20, 2017. Award: $800. Applicants must be residents of Laconia or Gilford or attend school there. Applicants must also be planning to attend college on a full-time basis. Drop-outs or part-time students will be disqualified and the scholarship will not be honored. Applications may be picked up in the School Counseling office.
Deadline: May 1, 2017. Award: $1000. Applicants must be a graduating senior from New Hampshire, who has been accepted at a fully accredited college or university, and who plans to enroll in the certification program for middle school or secondary mathematics education; or elementary education; or mathematics with the intent of becoming a mathematics teacher. Selection criteria is based on academic achievement, financial need, extra-curricular activities, and school and community service. Deadline: May 19, 2017. Award: Variable. Any graduating senior from the town of Gilmanton, who is furthering their education, is eligible to apply. This scholarship is sponsored by the American Legion Post #102 Auxiliary: Ellis-Geddes-Leavitt - in Gilmanton. Applications may be picked up in the School Counseling office.
Deadline: April 28, 2017. Award: variable. Applicants must be graduating seniors who are from the town of Gilmanton, and who can demonstrate significant community service, as well as future goals for continued service. This is a newly established scholarship for Gilmanton students. Applications may be picked up in the School Counseling office.
Deadline: April 14, 2017. Award: $1000. Applicants must be graduating seniors, who are residents of NH, who are planning to major in the performing arts as a full-time student. More information and applications can be found at www.nhgmc.com/outreach/scholarships/.
Deadline: postmarked by May 15, 2017. Award: variable. Applicants must be a spouse, child, or grandchild of a US Marine or Navy Corpsmen attached to Marine units, or Marines or Navy Corpsmen veterans. Applicants must be applying to an accredited 4-year college or university (unless otherwise allowed by special consideration of the scholarship committee) for full-time status or part-time status carrying at least 6 credit hours per semester. A minimum of 2.5 GPA (unweighted) C+ is required. Applications may be picked up in the School Counseling office.

Deadline: Received via mail by May 1, 2017. Award: variable. Graduating seniors who are enrolling in a Nursing program (CNA, LPN, LVN, RN) who have a B academic average or better for the latest marking period, or overall, and who meet ONE of the following are eligible: Be an active member of the Gilford Community Church; Be a graduating senior of a local Lakes Region High School (Gilford qualifies); or received a scholarship from them last year (those returning to college); or be actively enrolled in a Nursing career program (those returning to college.) Applications may be picked up in the School Counseling office.
Deadline: postmarked by April 21, 2017. Award: Variable. Two options: Senior eligibility includes the following: graduating seniors from Gilford High School who are legal residents of either Gilford or Gilmanton; in good standing in the GHS Performing Arts Program for at least two years one of which must be senior year; proof of enrollment in an institution of higher learning. Underclassman eligibility includes the following: underclassmen who wish to attend a summer music, theater camp, or musical trip; must follow the same application procedure as for the seniors; proof of acceptance into the music/theater camp/trip is required. Applications may be picked up in the School Counseling office, or from Performing Arts Faculty.
