American Musical & Dramatic Academy (AMDA) Scholarships

Deadline: with audition.  Award: Variable from $1000-$18000.  Students who wish to apply to AMDA, can be nominated for a scholarship.  Students must audition.  Please see Mrs. Camire in the School Counseling office for more details, or visit amda.edu.

Univ of So. Maine, Mountains to the Sea Scholarship

Deadline: April 1 2018.  Award: $9000 renewable up to four years for incoming freshmen (3 years for transfer students.)  Offered to students in NH and VT who meet admission criteria.  Students must apply for financial aid and attend full time to be considered.  Students from NH and VT can only receive one non-need based scholarship from Univ. of So. Maine.  Students must enroll in 15 credits per semester.  Students must complete their entire application, as well as fill out and submit the FAFSA form.  For more information visit usm.maine.edu.

WACE National Co-op Scholarship Program

Deadline: Individual schools have their own deadlines.  Award: 160 merit-based scholarships totaling over 4 million dollars.  Students applying to the following schools should consider this program: CLARKSON UNIVERSITY; DREXEL UNIVERSITY; MERRIMACK COLLEGE; ROCHESTER INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY; SUNY-OSWEGO; UNIVERSITY OF TOLEDO; UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI; UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS, LOWELL; WENTWORTH INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY.  Information and an application may be found at www.waceinc.org, or see Mrs. Camire in the school counseling office for more information.

Francis Wayland Parker Scholar Award

Deadline: For Seniors, September 15, 2017 and then again January 15, 2018.  Award: One award in the state for $2000.  This is a monthly recognition and for seniors it occurs in September and January.  Applicants must write an essay, and fill out an application.  Please see Mrs. Camire in the School Counseling Office for more information about the essay and for the application.

Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation Scholarship

Deadline: October 31. Award: $20,000.  Applicants must be: current high school seniors (or home schooled seniors,) attending school in the U.S.; US Citizens, US Nationals, US Permanent Residents, Refugess, Asylees, Cuban-Haitian Entrants, or Humanitarian Parolees; anticipating completion of high school diploma at the time of application; and planning to pursue a degree at an accredited US post-secondary institution.  This is an achievement based scholarship where students are recognized for their ability to lead and serve, as well as making a significant impact on their school and community.  Visit www.coca-colascholarsfoundation.org for more information and to apply.

Wendy's High School Heisman Scholarship

Deadline: Phase 1 is October 2, 2017 by 6:00 pm.  If you become a State Winner, then Phase 2 Deadline is October 23 by 6:00 pm.  Award: First 1000 applicants receive $10 Wendy's gift cards.  State winners who do not become National Finalists receive $1000.  National Finalists who do not move onto the Final Round receive $5000.  National Winners will receive $10000.  Eligibility is as follows: applicants must be seniors who are graduating with the class of 2018; have an unweighted GPA of 3.0 (B) or higher; participate in at least one of the 47 sports recognized by the International Olympic Committee; and be able to demonstrate leadership in school and community and serve as a role model to underclassmen.  Interested students need to go to www.wendyshighschoolheisman.com for more information.
