Community Service

or it can be located at bottom of the page

As evidenced by the Gilford High School Mission Statement, we believe it is important that our students develop civic skills. Providing opportunities for students to become involved in worthwhile service learning activities will help to develop a sense of caring for others, which in turn will build character and foster civic responsibility.

Provide students with an opportunity to learn responsibility, experience the satisfaction that comes with helping others, and acquire new skills.

Provide students with access to a higher level of community service not offered through family initiatives.

Strengthen school and community relationships

Students interested in participating in a service learning activity need to meet with Career & College Readiness Coordinator / English teacher, Mrs. Laliberte, prior to engaging in the activity. She will work with the student to fill out appropriate paperwork.

Upon completion of the activity, the Career & College Readiness Coordinator will document student hours for graduation.

Students may choose to participate in a pre-established community service project, or work with the Career & College Readiness Coordinator to design their own projects.
