Student Council

Student Council at Gilford High School represents the voice of the student body. Student Council works as a liaison between the administration and the students and works to improve the quality of life both at GHS and our community. A representative from student council attends School Board meetings, reporting both student opinion and upcoming projects.

Activities this year include: The council has become very active recently and has undertaken student concerns such as handbook rules, cafeteria offerings, and dress code requirements to name a few. Student Council regularly sponsors activities such as Eagle Days, the semiformal dance, candidates’ night, the Red Cross blood drive, and student of the month. As different situations arise, both globally and locally, Student Council works to donate both time and goods to make a difference.

Membership: Student Council representatives are elected by their peers; however, any student who wishes to work toward the established goals is welcomed to join.
